 In A Small Sanctum Sanctorum, Lord Vinayaka Appears Gracefully In A Sitting Form. This Valampuri Vinayaka Idol Is Made Of A Single Stone Very Beautifully. Lord Guruvauraappa And Lord Muruga Grace From The Artha Mandap. 

 Mother Vishnu Durga, Lords Lingodhbava And Dakshinamurthy Are On The Goshta Portions. Sri Abeeshta Sundara Anjaneya And Navagrahas The Nine Planets Are In Separate Shrines.

Curio Garden Housing Complex On The VadavalliThondamuthur Road Is A Pleasant Place, Occupied By Retired Government Officials, Bank Officials And Small Entrepreneurs. After Migrating To This Place, They Felt That Their Happiness Was Not Complete Without A Temple. They Held A Meeting And Decided To Build A Vinayaka Temple. 

A Ripe Old Man Said That It Was Not As Easy To Build A Temple And Raised Some Questions As Whether The Place Was Fit For A Temple, Would The Lord Respond To Our Prayer And Agree To Grace Us, Etc. How To Find The Solution? Prasna – Seeking The Divine Opinion – Was The Only Way. A Team Of Five Men Proceeded To Kerala And Met A Namboodri Ripe In Age And Knowledge Of Prasna System .

 They Presented All The Details Of The Place Chosen For The Temple And Sought His Advice And Guidance. After A Short Contemplation, The Namboodri Opened His Eyes And Asked The Visitors Whether There Was A Place With Three Trees – Banyan, Arasu And Vembu. 

The Visitors Were Confused And Said That There Was None Such Trees. The Namboodri Emphatically Said That His Finding Cannot Go Wrong And Asked Them To Think Again. The Team Was Able To Recall The Presence Of A Land Covering 10 Cents With Three Trees Of Namboodri’s Description. 

They Also Said That The Land Was Not Clean. Namboodri Smiled And Said That Though The Present Condition Was Not Good, Once A Saint Lived There And There Was Also A Vedic School.

Lord Vinayaka Is Fond Of Vellerukku A Wild Bush. This Place Was Also Dense With Vellerukku Plants. The Three Trees Also Were There. The Visitors Expressed Their Reluctance To Choose The Place And Told The Namboodri That Though Were Very Keen On The Temple, They Did Not Have So Much Funds To Buy A Land And Expressed The Fear That The Venture Should Not Stop Half Way.

 Namboodri Assured Them That Money Would Automatically Flow Once They Undertake The Building Work “Begin With What You Have On Hand” He Said. He Also Said That The Consecration Of The Temple Would Take Much Before Their Expectations.

The Land In Question Belonged To The Panchayat. The Team Of Devotees Bought The Land Sharing The Cost. They Performed The Bhoomi Puja And Began The Temple Construction. Work Progressed. Even Passers By Contributed To The Cause Liberally. 

Sand And Brick Sellers Contributed Building Materials. A Paint Manufacturer Undertook The Painting Of The Tower. An Industrialist Offered Funds For Performing The Consecration. School Children Offered Their Savings For The Flooring, Stainless Steel Stands To Regulate The Queu.

The Temple Construction Was Completed With All Auspiciousness 150 Years Ago. The Temple Stands As An Abode Of Mental Peace In An Environment Not Known Or Available In Our Modern Times. .
