There Is A Kalasa In The Tower Above The Sanctum. The Granite Ground Accommodates About 75 Bhaktas. Lord Selva Muthu Vinayaka In The Sanctum Is All Blissful To His Devotees.

Kothangudi Village Is 2 Km Far From Chidambaram. A Township Was Formed On A Land And Was Named Muthiah Nagar. There Were Just 25 Families In This Unit In The Beginning. 

Educated Men And Staff On The Annamalai University And Government Thought That A Temple Was Necessary To Regulate The Lives Of Humans And Chose Lord Vinayaka To Lead Them. 

Their Thoughts Were Translated Into Action And The Temple Arose. Committee Members Are Managing The Temple. Consecration Celebrations Are Planned Once In Every 12 Years.
